All Bar One

I visited Innes Wishart and Euan Glen, the managers of All Bar One to check that on the day of Miles for Smiles they would not mind moving the tables and chairs which they have outside their premises - and which sit right in the path of the one mile route for the 500 miles Challenge. They told me that the light ones would be no trouble to move - but most of the furniture is designed to be so heavy that it doesn’t move.

I am really grateful that they and Essential Edinburgh have agreed that if I can bring four strong men to the site on the day, I can have them stacked a short distance away. Phew! It was nearly going to have been a one mile obstacle course. Thanks for your co-operation guys! And thanks for the offer of a raffle prize. We just have to work on the All Bar One mile now!
